On day 4, we realized we didn’t want to rush. The beauty of Majestic Oak is that it accommodates extended stays easily, with on-site laundry, Wi-Fi, and strong sense of community.
We slowed our schedule: one day just sitting in shade reading, one day heading to the beach for a few hours, one day exploring town. The kids had a “free play” day in the dog park and clubhouse; grandparents napped or chatted with neighbors.
By midweek, we’d made friends — swapping recipes, chatting about travel, exchanging baked goods. This sense of ease is what makes a resort stay feel less like hurried tourism and more like a retreat.
