I never expected an RV resort to feel so restful. At Majestic Oak, I take gentle morning walks under the oak canopies, breathing in calm. The paved roads inside the resort make it easy for my arthritic knees; I can walk without worrying about uneven ground. The well-maintained bathhouses and clean laundry facilities are a blessing.
In the afternoon, while younger ones head to Rockport Beach, I linger at the clubhouse reading or chatting with other guests. In the evening, I join others for a low-key cornhole or shuffleboard game. The resort’s social vibe means strangers become friends over a game or shared dessert.
One night, I suggested making a no-bake cheesecake dessert in the RV ahead of a beach outing the next day: cream cheese + sour cream + sugar + vanilla, poured into a crust, chilled, topped with fresh berries. Everyone raved about it.
